Commission Church Family Member

What is a Commission Church Family Member?

Because of the saving work of Christ Jesus, all are invited to become part of God's family. As family members in the Kingdom of Heaven, we are exhorted to participate in the calling God has given to His Church.

While we consider many to be "family", when we look at the Scriptures we see that members of the early church community were committed to regularly meeting together, promoting the teachings of Jesus, celebrating the Sacraments, serving one another, eating together, blessing their surrounding community, and gave sacrificially to the Lord for the purpose of Kingdom expansion. A"Commission Church Family Member" is someone who has made a formal commitment to these types of things.

At Commission Church, we celebrate all who are part of God's Kingdom family and we welcome all to participate in the callings given to those who are part of that family at the pace of their own spritual journey: growing in regular church attendance, life group involvement, serving in a ministry area, and financial partnership.

With our Free Methodist connection, Commission Church Family Members are empowered to not only vote concerning local church matters but they are also invited to vote and voice their opinions for the future of our denominational movement.
